Stipendije za studiranje - The University of Sheffield bachelors and masters entry scholarships

The University of Sheffield's International Faculty, CITY College, in Thessaloniki, Greece, is committed to encouraging and rewarding prospective and current students who achieve
outstanding academic performance. Based on specific requirements, a number of entry scholarships are available to prospective students from Serbia who wish to study at the CITY
College campus in Thessaloniki, Greece. The scholarships are available both at Bachelor's and Master's level.
Notes:
  • Scholarships refer to tuition fees reduction only. Living expenses and books are solely the responsibility of the student.
  • Successful candidates might be requested to work for a number of hours per week within the College as part of a work-and-study assignment, thus enhancing their working experience.
  • Transfer students from other universities will be considered on the basis of their performance proven by their transcript.
  • CITY reserves the right to vary the number of scholarships offered per year
  • The scholarships are not available for the Executive MBA programme
Application Process
Stage One:
Scholarships will be awarded on a “first come – first served” basis. Therefore, interested candidates are encouraged to apply as early as possible. In any case, you must apply no later than the 29th February 2012 submitting the following:
  • A cover letter stating why you are requesting the scholarship (Please include information about your wider academic background, previous achievements, languages spoken, computer skills, awards, social activities etc.)
  • A completed application form. You can download and print a Bachelor’s or Master’s application form from our website www.city.academic.gr or request a copy from the Admissions Office or the representative office in Belgrade.
  • 4 Photographs (passport-size)
ADDITIONALLY:

For Bachelors applicants:
  • Certified Photocopy of High-School Leaving Certificate and detailed academic records (transcripts of performance) from the last three years. Candidates should submit certified photocopies of the originals, as well as translated copies, which must be provided by the institution itself or a certified translator/ translating service.
  • Certified Photocopy of English Language qualification(s) such as: TOEFL: paper based 550 / Internet based 79-80 or IELTS: 6,0 or CAE (A or B) or equivalent qualifications. Candidates who have not acquired an English language qualification at the time of the submission of their application form are required to submit it by the commencement of the course.
For Masters applicants:
  • Certified photocopy of your University degree and all associated transcripts of performance. Candidates who, at the time of the submission of their application form, have not graduated yet are required to submit all available transcripts. If your institution provides degrees and transcripts in a language other than English, we require that you submit certified photocopies of the originals, as well as translatedcopies, which must be provided by the institution itself or a certified translator/ translating service.
  • Certified photocopy of English language qualification(s) such as: TOEFL: paper based 575 / Internet based 89-90 or IELTS: 6,5 or CAE (A or B) or equivalent qualifications. Candidates who have not acquired an English language qualification at the time of the submission of their application form are required to submit one by the commencement of the course.
  • 2 Reference Letters. Reference letters can be submitted either attached to the application form by the applicant or via regular mail posted directly by the recommender. There are no standard reference forms. Reference letters should be written by people who have supervised you in an academic, employment, or community setting. If possible, at least one should be from a university professor familiar with your academic work.
Stage Two:
Upon receiving your application, this will be forwarded to the relevant Academic Department for immediate evaluation. Within 2 weeks from the receipt of your application, you will receive official reply by the Department. If your application is accepted, you will be sent an official Letter of Acceptance. Upon receiving your Letter of Acceptance:
  1. Reply officially by e-mail or post that you accept the scholarship offered
  2. A non-refundable deposit of 2,000 euros must be made within the next 10 working days towards your fees.
