Internships with East European Arts Festivals

East European Performing Arts Platform is announcing an Open Call to apply for the Second Residence / Internship Programme – 2013. They offer 11 residencies / internships during the autumn and winter 2013 to performing arts curators, critics, producers and set designers.

Each residence/internship will start a week, or several days before this year’s edition of the host festival and continue during the whole festival programme. Successful applicants will be provided with free accommodation, flight ticket and stipend to cover living expenses.

Curator, critic, manager or producer is supposed to participate in the final festival preparations as well as different organization activities during the festival. Some of the festivals might suggest a work with the dramaturgical coverage of the programme (writing and editing of the reports and essays regarding performances and events). Residence MESS – 1 is designed as a workshop for theatre professionals dealing with the set design and visual aspects of the performing arts productions.

The residencies will take place during 2013 editions of:

1. Dialog International Theatre Festival, Wroclaw, Poland
Residence DIALOG-1 – October 9th to 19th, 2013.

Responsibilities: active role in festival organizing activities and dramaturgical coverage of the 2013 festival edition.

Profile: set designer, visual artist working in the field of performing arts

Curators, programme managers and producers from the performing arts festivals as well as, independent performing arts institutions and project in Eastern Partnership Countries. Critics dealing with contemporary theatre and dance set designers are also eligible.

Residents of following countries are eligible: Armenia, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Moldova, the Ukraine, Belarus, Kosovo, Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Slovenia, Macedonia, Bulgaria, Hungary, Romania, Slovakia, the Czech Republic and Poland.

Objavljujemo da je zvanično počeo konkurs za našu ISTRAŽIVAČKU JEDINICU. U okviru Istraživačke jedinice otvaraju se 2 slobodne pozicije za dvosemestralno stažiranje.

Libertarijanski Klub LIBEK pokrenuo je, od svog osnivanja 2008. godine, različite obrazovne inicijative od kojih su najznačajnije prerasle u tradicionalne programe - za srednjoškolce i društvene aktiviste (seminar Politika pojedinca) kao i za studente (Akademija liberalne politike). Uživajući ozbiljnu međunarodnu reputaciju, Libek je postao i stožerna organizacija za pokretanje pojedinačnih studentskih organizacija na raznim fakultetima "Studenti za slobodu" u okviru međunarodne mreže European Students for Liberty. Pored edukacije, Libek je centralna organizacija nove Fiskalne koalicije u Srbiji "Odbrani novčanik" koja se bavi javnim zagovaranjem političkih i ekonomskih reformi.

Stažiranje podrazumeva pored programa obuke i pisanje stručnih tekstova u različitim formatima te finalnog rada na odabrane teme pod supervizijom mentora. Od stažista se očekuje da, u skladu sa svojim interesovanjima, uzmu učešće u ostalim aktivnostima Libeka. Program ne uključuje novčanu nadoknadu, ali takođe ni nikakve poslove kancelarijskog karaktera. Svrha je da se proširi znanje studentima koje oni drugde ne mogu da dobiju i da im se pomogne da postanu stručni u datim oblastima. Vreme koje se očekuje da stažisti posvete poslu iznosi oko deset časova nedeljno (uključujući vreme provedeno u kancelariji i izvan nje). Izabrani kandidati će, takođe, pohađati i stručni šestomesečni kurs o modelima i tehnikama društvenog istraživanja koji se odvija u sklopu Libekovog projekta Građani za prosperitet, a koji će ih dodatno obučiti da se bave izučavanjem društvenih fenomena.

Scholarship Exchange Programme with CEE, Germany

Description

Deutsche Bundesstiftung Umwelt has an international scholarship programme The Scholarship Exchange Programme with CEE Countries, that enables young scientists from Central and Eastern Europe to broaden their professional horizons in the ecological domain within a research stay from six to twelve months in Germany. Host institutions are research centres and universities, but also enterprises, ministries, offices and NGOs. Current internship offers can be found here.

The programme aims at improving the scholarship holders’ vocational skills, at establishing a sustainable network involving experts from Germany and Central and Eastern Europe and at overcoming obstacles in the international cooperation around environmental protection and nature conservation. The programme involves participation in numerous events like the International Summer Academy, a number of seminars, the German Environmental Award ceremony and through the different alumni organisations.

Eligibility

 

The programme covers 17 countries: Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, the region Kaliningrad, Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Bulgaria, Romania, Albania, Bosnia and Hercegovina, Croatia, Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia, Slovenia.

Applicants must be graduates holding Master degree and be citizens of one of the aforementioned countries. Graduates need a residence in their home country when applying. Applicants must prove sufficient skills of the German language (language school certificate or else).

The scholarship is not intended for those who would like to write their PhD thesis at German university. Applications from natural scientists, engineers, agrarian engineers, economists, lawyers, educationalists and others, provided they make an essential contribution towards environmental protection or nature conservation in their home country or in the European Union are welcome.

Fellowship

The scholarship includes €1,060 monthly, exempt from tax and social security contributions. The insurance against health, accident and liability risks is covered. The DBU also supports a German language course in the home country prior to the scholarship. A corresponding request, addressed to the DBU in advance, is necessary.

European Fund for the Balkans Fellowship Programme for Young Government Officials from the Western Balkans – Supporting Excellence and Leadership in Governance April 2014 – July 2014

We are looking for the decision-makers of tomorrow who want to shape regional and European collaboration using their energy and enthusiasm

 

Aim:

The Programme aims to contribute to the development of effective and efficient state administrations in the region by offering a tailor-made fellowship and training programme for highly qualified young professionals from the central government of the countries of the Western Balkans (including cantonal level government in Bosnia Herzegovina and regional level government of Vojvodina in Serbia).

Up to 20 scholarships are made available for civil servants from the Western Balkans to spend a three-month fellowship in government institutions in Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia and Spain. 

 

 By participating in the Programme, the Fellows have the opportunity to:

• gain professional experience in EU countries’ federal or state government agencies
• receive training on EU (and other international) issues
• receive training on their respective field of expertise
• acquire leadership and management skills at seminars
• engage with their colleagues from the region and the EU and thus create links between administrations through individual networks

Description

Throughout his 30 years as The Wall Street Journal’s Editorial Page Editor, Bob Bartley inspired principled and original thinking that changed and shaped the society in which we all live. He also devoted attention to teaching and motivating talented young people, many of whom have gone on to careers in journalism at the Journal and elsewhere. The Bartley fellowships are consistent with that legacy.

Bob Bartley achieved many honors during his long tenure here including a Pulitzer Prize and, shortly before his death in December 2003, the Presidential Medal of Freedom. In awarding that medal, President Bush cited Bob as “one of the most influential journalists in American history.” The Robert L. Bartley fellowships will help to perpetuate not just Bob’s memory but above all the principles and priorities to which he devoted his distinguished career.

The Robert L. Bartley Fellowships, consisting of paid internships, will be provided to young thinkers and writers whose views are broadly consistent with Bob Bartley’s philosophy and who aspire to careers in journalism. As many as five fellows will be selected each year through an application process that will be judged by senior members of the Wall Street Journal’s editorial board. Fellows will work as writers and editors on the Journal’s opinion pages — editorial, op-ed, Leisure & Arts—in the U.S., Europe or Asia.

Bartley Fellows will assist in researching and writing editorials, editing op-ed articles, editing Leisure & Arts page features, and editing letters to the editor for the Journal and their website HERE.

Start and finish dates are flexible, though they anticipate that most Fellows will work during the summer months. The fellowship begins in June and runs through the end of August.

Eligibility

U selekciji je od 2007. učestvovalo više od 800 studenata, 96 je nagrađeno, a njih 14 je iskoristilo šansu da započne profesionalnu karijeru u Vipu. „U skladu sa svojim poslovnim aktivnostima, angažovanjem uspešnih i talentovanih mladih ljudi, kompanija Vip mobile pruža priliku najboljim studentima da se dodatno usavršavaju i stiču praktično znanje iz oblasti telekomunikacija. U proteklih 5 godina, 96 Vip studenata tokom letnjeg raspusta sticalo je profesionalno iskustvo učeći od starijih kolega, a njih 14 dobilo je mogućnost da svoju karijeru grade u našoj kompaniji.“, istakao je Tanasis Kacirumpas, direktor Vipa. 

Redovni studenti završnih godina osnovnih studija odabranih državnih fakulteta IT i biznis orijentacije Univerziteta u Beogradu, Nišu, Novom Sadu i Kragujevcu pozvani su da se prijave za učešće na konkursu. Nephodno je da kandidati imaju minimalnu prosečnu ocenu 8 na studijama u toku prijavljivanja, odlično znanje engleskog jezika i poznavanje rada na računaru, kao i upis master studija u akademskoj 2013/2014 godini. 

Prilikom procesa selekcije, kandidati će proći kroz  tri eliminacione faze. U prvom krugu, zainteresovani studenti, koji ispunjavaju uslove, imaće priliku da pošalju svoj CV i odgovore na tri postavljena pitanja na engleskom jeziku. U drugi krug prolazi 60 kandidata koje očekuju individualni intervjui sa predstavnicima kompanije, na osnovu kojeg će biti odabrano 40 kandidata koji prolaze u treći, finalni krug selekcije, gde će se nadmetati kroz kreativne radionice i interaktivne igre. Nakon završnog vikenda, stručni žiri će krajem marta 2013. godine odabrati novih 20 Vip studenata.
